Radars to the Sky is a Los Angeles based indie rock band heavily influenced by The Smiths, Built to Spill, and The Cure. I have been friends with the band for years and chopped at the bit to create a posters for their reunion gig.

​

Andrew Spitzer, the lead singer, is a huge vintage Star Wars action figure collector and I thought It would be fun to include some reference to it in the design. It's been over 10 years since the band had played a show, so playing again was like riding a bike.

After a 12 year hiatus, The Monolators of Highland Park reunited for a glorious night of catchy chaotic garage pop!

​

I have had the honor of contributing guitar duties for a few years, so when the word came out that the group was returning, it felt like five legendary defenders of the Highland Park indie rock scene has united.

​

I took that as the creative direction for this show announce poster.
